Before I was a Mom

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Be fore I was a Mom

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom -

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom -

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache,

the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

hey momma............all you have to do to be considered for next month is to send me an email with a little about your situation.....(just because there have been people who wanted to be considered because they wanted a new crib bedding set with a matching mobile or to get professional photos taken of their child or whatever.)......and this is only for poeple that are in very tight financial situations. so i always ask for the people to tell me a little bit about their needs. like, alicia (this months winner) doesn't have any shoes that fit her children properly. to me, that's a real need........
so anyway........yep, that's my super long answer.

Merry Christmas!

hi all!

I thought I'd stop in to say hello & have a very Merry Christmas & Happy & safe New Year. It's a busy time right now so I may not get back til next month after the girls get back to school. A week from today they have a half day then their off til January 4th 2010. Well I'll close now. Take care.

I’m Sick....YES, for the first time in 6 or 7yrs

I just wanted to say that I have been sick for the last 2wks now with a horrible cough and since I wasn't sure what it was I went to the doctor for myself. My cough was so bad that I was starting to think it could have been broncitus or phemonia. I went to the doctor Tuesday at 12:30pm to find out what was going on...

hi all!
Sorry I was gone last week. I was busy trying to deal with head l*** again except it wasn't just Tori this time but Vanessa & I!! EEEKKK! I 'm hoping things are good. I'm always so careful. I don't know how I picked them up. I hardly believe that its nearly Thanksgiving & I dont have any plans at all. My van needs to be inspected here by the 30th too. I hope it passes inspection.
So what are you up to for the week? Not alot here. Just trying to get through it. I did get to Ladies… Continue

A Cloudy Day!

hi all!
How have you been? I've been okay. The kids are okay too. Serena has been exposed to the swine flu . She's living at her boyfriends house & his 5 yr old niece came down with it on Saturday & now Matt Serena's boyfriend ,his nieces dad ,& grandmas hubby all have it. The little girl is over it now & hopefully everyone makes a quick recovery. So far it seems to be fairly mild for them.
