my DH's ex is not for homeschooling and every time they go for the every-second-weekend visit with their mother, they come back with hog wash statements like "you talked us into it" or saying they want to go to "real school"....that last for about 2 minutes until I finish saying "ok we can start practicing getting up a 6 am and waiting at the side of the road for the bus" :)

And we went for a month out west (my avitar is one of the pictures i took ) and when they grumbled after the first long weekend visit with their mom we said 'ok next time you would stay with your uncle, since it is in April that we can go on vacation)

I so wish she could understand that they are getting a better education and her negative remarks hurt them deeply...

Oh, well, sorry to go on like that, just venting a little :)

So if you were to give any advice on home schooling, what would it be :)

Do you homeschool them all or did the older ones opt for going to high school (my eldest daughter says she want to go to the public highschool...but when I mention having to get up early and stuff she wavers.lol...we live on a farm, so it is a long bus ride :) But she is only 10 now...lots of time, right (rofl)

I’m Sick....YES, for the first time in 6 or 7yrs

I just wanted to say that I have been sick for the last 2wks now with a horrible cough and since I wasn't sure what it was I went to the doctor for myself. My cough was so bad that I was starting to think it could have been broncitus or phemonia. I went to the doctor Tuesday at 12:30pm to find out what was going on...

hi all!
Sorry I was gone last week. I was busy trying to deal with head l*** again except it wasn't just Tori this time but Vanessa & I!! EEEKKK! I 'm hoping things are good. I'm always so careful. I don't know how I picked them up. I hardly believe that its nearly Thanksgiving & I dont have any plans at all. My van needs to be inspected here by the 30th too. I hope it passes inspection.
So what are you up to for the week? Not alot here. Just trying to get through it. I did get to Ladies… Continue

A Cloudy Day!

hi all!
How have you been? I've been okay. The kids are okay too. Serena has been exposed to the swine flu . She's living at her boyfriends house & his 5 yr old niece came down with it on Saturday & now Matt Serena's boyfriend ,his nieces dad ,& grandmas hubby all have it. The little girl is over it now & hopefully everyone makes a quick recovery. So far it seems to be fairly mild for them.
